ヨークでの観光：

ヨークはさまざまなエンターテイメント、イベント、アトラクションが数多く繰り広げられる活気に満ち溢れた歴史ある街です。ローマ帝国やバイキングから受け継いだものが数多く残っており、ヨーク大聖堂を始めとし、すばらしい歴史をごく身近に触れることが出来ます。新しいものとしてはヨークシャー・エアー・ミュージアムなど、観光には事欠きません。

ヨークでのショッピング：

専門店・中世風のお店から、モダンなショッピングセンターまで幅広いタイプのショッピングが楽しめます。中心街には特徴のある個人経営のお店から最新のデザイナー・ショップまであふれています。
ヨークの環状線すぐ外側には、McArthur Glenn という１００件以上のデザイナー・ショップからなるアウトレットもあります。環状線すぐ内側にはThe Monks Crossショッピングセンターがあります。どちらも中心街からは車でも近く、バス・サービスも充実しています。

ヨークはヨーロッパで一番幽霊の出る街に選ばれました。夜になるとゴースト・ハンター・ツアーに出かける観光客団体をよく見かけます。他の夜のアトラクションの一つには、Theatre Royal や Grand Opera Houseはもちろんのこと、映画、ナイトクラブもあります。

プライベートの駐車場は市内に数多くあります。Haxby RoadのJaipur Spice Restaurantが経営する駐車場はタウンセンターに便利です。無休で一日当たり４ポンドです。高さ制限は無いので、キャラバンなどをとめるのにも便利。

Tanner Rowにも255台のスペースがあり、中心に便利です。ＣＣＴＶ管理、障害者用専用駐車スペースあり。最長５時間まで。
